There are various computer languages available and each of them offers different rules and regulations to function with. But if one enables active X that will help to have coordination in more than one language. This ultimately helps to overcome any limitation related to one language as the function can be carried out by using some other language. Thus it helps the users and webmasters to have better flexibility as the anabling of active x offers various options with languages.

To manually enable active x one needs to open the internet properties box. But this can be done through various ways. This can be done with the help of browser as well. But again there are number of commercial browsers available with different settings to open the internet properties box. One of the simple way is to open it through windows. Go to the start tab, then select control panel from that. In control panel there will be one icon named internet options. Double click to open internet options. Then after in internet properties box, one needs to open security tab and then on the custom level button. This will lead you to the security settings box. Once the security settings box is opened then select the reset settings option from it. Then after select medium or low option from the settings to enable active x controls.

To manually adjust the individual settings there are three options: (1) enable (2) prompt and (3) disable. Selecting the prompt option will bring a pop in window everytime when the active X component tries to kick in.

Below mentioned are some of the settings suggested for active X controls:

(1) For automatic prompting of active X controls select enable

(2) To download signed active X controls select enable or even prompt option can help into it

(3) Download unsigned active X controls select prompt or diable option

(4) To initialize and script active X controls not marked as safe select prompt or disable

(5) To run active X controls and plug ins select enable or prompt

(6) Enable or prompt can be selected to script the active X controls that are marked safe for scripting

(7) For active scripting select enable or prompt

(8) For scriptng java applets select enable or prompt

After this click OK and then a dialogue box will appear asking for whether to make the changes or not. Click YES to make the changes.

Even after this if one is unable to have an access to the active X controls it must be because of the security systems installed in the PC that are blocking the active X controls.
